Interview with LaTisha Springer
Working mom of three LaTisha in the Bay Area shares beauty hacks and tips on how to be a successful blogger from her popular blog The Girl in the Yellow Dress.
Name:
LaTisha Springer
Children:
Rowen 6, Lettie 3, Londyn 8 months
A few words that best describe you.
On-the-go working mom of 3. Social butterfly, always love new adventures!
Did you always live in California? What's your favorite thing about living here?
No, we are originally from Utah and have lived in the Bay area almost 5 years now. Favorite thing is the weather and how beautiful it is here. Also living by San Fran is so cool! Always fun stuff to do.
What inspires you when you're styling yourself?
What's stylish and comfy at the same time: sneakers, leggings, and boyfriend tee.
How did you pick the names for your children?
All of them are just random: when we heard the name we loved it, other than Lettie's name. Lettie is a nickname for LaTisha, so we named her after me!
How does the Paige Carryall diaper bag work for you and your daily routine?
I love the Paige Carryall so much and take it everywhere I go. It's so great for the kids and fits everything I need, not to mention it's so stylish. I get compliments about it everywhere I go.
What are some things we can find in your diaper bag right now?
Diapers, wipes, extra change of clothes for the kids, fruit snacks, baby food, lipgloss, gum.
How did you get started on your blog? What advice would you give someone looking to do the same?
I started my blog 5 years ago just because I loved fashion and it was a fun outlet for me. My best advice would be to just get started (that's always the hardest part), and make sure to always stay consistent.
What's your favorite part about being a blogger?
All the new and amazing lifelong friends that I have met along this journey!
Any beauty hacks for moms who don't have a lot of time on their hands?
Find an easy and quick makeup routine like this one here. Oh, and dry shampoo!
What's something you never thought you would do before you became a mom?
Haha, this one is funny! I got a van, I never thought I would be a "van mom", but I'm loving it! It has so much room and great for traveling!
Any best-kept secrets for mom life?
Don't sweat the small. Just let things go that you can't control.
What’s the best piece of motherhood advice you’ve received?
Make time for yourself once in awhile. Whether it's a girls night out, going to the gym, or a spa day, it's important to take care of ourselves and enjoy the journey!
